Top Speed
The Mearth GTS Series offers the fastest speed possible from any Mearth scooter. The normal speed caps at 25 kph but it could reach up to 50 kph for the Mearth GTS and 70 kph for the Mearth GTS MAX. Since this is an off-road electric scooter, it was definitely built on speed. Just remember to ride safely at all times when reaching this speed. Make sure you are also in a safe environment.
Battery and Motor
The Mearth GTS and GTS MAX offer one of the most powerful batteries and motor power that you will see in the industry. It’s also worth noting that the battery is co-engineered by Mearth and Panasonic and that the GTS MAX provides a dual motor for added force. The Mearth GTS provides a battery capacity of 13 amperes, 48 V and 624 watt-hours with a motor power of 1200 W to 1600 W. Meanwhile, the Mearth GTS MAX boasts a huge battery capacity of 20.4 amperes, 52 volts, and 1,061 watt-hours with a powerful motor power of 2400 W to 3200 W. Charging these batteries only takes 3.5 to 6 hours.
Range
With a powerful battery and motor sustaining it, this Mearth e-scooter can give you one of the longest ranges among electric scooters. In a single charge, the Mearth GTS can travel up to 70 km, while the Mearth GTS MAX can take you up to 100 km. This distance can shorten depending on your riding mode.
Hill Climbing
Among Mearth e-scooters, the GTS and GTS MAX offer the best hill climbing ability, suitable for driving through rough paths. It can ride up to 30 degrees of slope. Most average electric scooters can only travel up to 15 degrees so this is a significant upgrade. You don’t need to hike up while carrying your e-scooter, because it’s easier to pass through slopes like these with the GTS Series.
Ride Quality
It’s a joy to ride the Mearth GTS Series because of its solid build, powerful motor, fast speeds, and comfortable design. Thanks to its premium built, riding through any type of terrain is easier, safer, and more comfortable. The wide deck and the 150 kg max load makes it very comfortable and safe for bigger people. Overall, both electric scooters provide a stable and smooth riding experience.
Portability
With the Mearth GTS and GTS MAX weighing 29 kg and 34 kg, respectively, these are not exactly portable e-scooters. It can still be carried by riders, but not comfortable enough as you would an e-scooter that’s built for portability. However, the weight is still good news because this only means that both scooters are built with solid, durable materials that can withstand off-road travelling.
Dashboard
The dashboard is simple and it’s unlike other Mearth scooters that often sport a large display screen. But it still has a small but visible screen that will display your speed, riding mode, and battery level.
Lights
As with any electric scooter, the Mearth GTS Series is equipped with an LED light at the front and rear. The front light is positioned at the lower part of the stem, conveniently lighting your path.
Tires
The Mearth GTS Series both sport a 10-inch air-filled heavy-duty off-road tires that will not easily wear or tear in rough terrains. These tires are also equipped with shock absorbers, making your ride less bumpy and more stable, even on the roughest terrains.
Brakes
Both scooters sport a disc brake at the front and rear tires. If you look at the design of the brakes at the back, the back brakes are placed conveniently and comfortably for riders to easily step on them without losing balance. Disc brakes are also a safe type of brake that allows you to slow down at the right pace and not abruptly stop.
Design
The Mearth GTS Series sports a unique design that you don’t often see in electric scooters. In fact, these models scream “off-road” because of its rugged look. Nonetheless, it looks very solid and well-built. You can easily see that it’s a premium scooter.
Warranty / Post-Purchase Support
Mearth Australia provides its customers with a warranty policy and great customer service on all of its products. Customers are entitled to a 2-year warranty for the frame and a 1-year warranty for the battery and motor.
